about

While composing this piece I imagined explorers coming upon a ruin in the desert. An ancient cathedral ravaged not only by the iconoclasts that destroyed it's statuary, but also by the sprawling's of nature. The adventurers soon discover that the ruin is home to strange beetles that circle in the air and rest in the coves that were once occupied by the statues of deities. As dusk begins to fall and the prospect of night time looms large, the mood of the piece takes on a darker edge.

This is a stand alone single release. It is also part of a collection (concept album) and will be re-released at a later date as a differently developed version.

The track art was created using a photograph of a customised leather motorbike jacket and a kaleidoscope. It is meant to be reminiscent of the gothic archways of cathedrals which sometimes harbour statues.
